Artists Act for Sistergood
As part of Sistergood’s mission, we’re excited to launch the pop-up art exhibition, “Artists Act for Sistergood,” running from July to October at multiple locations across New York, starting in New Paltz July 19th to 20th. (More details coming soon.)
This is the first in a series of inspiring events where artists from around the world unite to uplift sisterhoods across the globe through the power of fine art. The exhibition is more than an art show; it’s a celebration of community, empowerment, and shared strength. Every piece in this exhibition is a work of fine art, generously donated by an artist who believes in the transformative power of sisterhood. Proceeds from art sales will directly support Sistergood’s global programs, including:
• Self-discovery and self-care workshops
• Mentorship and leadership training
• Vocational development opportunities
• Support for women in Ghana, Pakistan, Liberia, Kenya, Philadelphia, and beyond
We hope you’ll join us by participating in this exciting exhibition, spreading the word, or simply showing up to stand in solidarity with women everywhere. Let’s harness the power of art and sisterhood to create a ripple effect of positive change.
Together, we can build a stronger world, one sisterhood at a time.
About Sistergood:
In March 2023 on International Women’s Day, Sistergood was launched with a sister circle with the Jamaican and Costa Rican Red Cross and in Pakistan. In November they launched a 12-week program for the women in Ghana.
Sistergood is a not-for-profit organization building sisterhoods in developing countries. The purpose of Sistergood is to provide facilitated learning, taking women through self-discovery, self-care, and self-expression, and equipping women with strategies, skills, and tools to strengthen their physical and mental well-being, encourage them to become actively engaged in their communities and empower them to become leaders.
How
Our wellness and leadership programs are facilitated virtually with a local person to help organize and manage the on-site portion.
