Odin
Etching Prints Series
Based on a figurine of Odin from Lindby, Sweden, dating to the 7th century, I created my own version of this character. Odin had one eye as he gave one of his eyes in return for knowledge.
Medium: Etching print on water color paper
Size: 18”x24” and 16” x 18”
The making of the prints
I created various sketches when developing the 3D mythic and Norse sculpture series based on the Odin figurine below. The sketch to the right was used when making make these etching prints.
I traced in on a plexiglass by scraping the surface with a ballpoint needle, and then transferred with ink through a press on watercolor paper.
